Inspired design

Tiffany Farha planned to be a professional opera singer until she accidentally found her true calling: interior design. For 25 years as an award-winning designer, Tiffany has enjoyed success curating a luxurious style that evokes an effortless blend of classic and modern with a healthy dose of whimsy. Designing spaces in high-end homes from Los Angeles to New York, Tiffany returned to her native state in 2004. “Wichita has welcomed me home with open arms, and I am grateful for my clients and friends who allow me to create beautiful spaces for them,” said Tiffany.

Inspired by her mother’s artistic talents and her father’s business acumen, Tiffany explained, “I literally learned at my mom’s knee. My dad showed me how to operate a successful business, and my mom taught me the art of style.”

Renowned for her contagious energy and brilliant creativity, Tiffany is quick to give her team of six designers and office management credit for the success of Tiffany Farha Design. “Design is a collaborative process,” said Tiffany, “I love the people I work with and they augment every single project.” Whether the team is working on a polished downtown loft, a historic College Hill home or a rambling country ranch, Tiffany Farha Design creates timeless, comfortable spaces that improve with age.

Catching the eye of Kansas Governor Laura Kelly and her staff at Cedar Crest, Tiffany Farha Design recently redesigned the upstairs bedrooms and sitting areas in the Governor’s mansion. The home has a traditional style that was last remodeled in the 1980s, and the new design, while modern, reveals much of the home’s original splendor. Honored to have been awarded the project, the team is planning phase two which will complete the downstairs renovation.

Shop Tiffany

Housed in a historic, terracotta-roofed building near Hillside and Central, Shop Tiffany opened in June 2019. “It has always been a dream of mine to open a boutique that represents my own curated style,” Tiffany explained. The shop is headquarters for Tiffany Farha Design and reflects Tiffany’s signature look: fresh and classic, influenced by southern charm and French beauty, with a big touch of mid-century modern flair and a little Bohemia.

Open to the public, shoppers are drawn in to wander the creatively designed vignettes and browse the wonderfully curated accessories. Items featured in the store represent Tiffany Farha Design’s stylistic dexterity with a playful approach to mixing antiques and modern pieces with eclectic and unexpected accents. Vintage barware for the mixologist, one-of-a-kind paintings from local artists and a custom candle line are just a few of the items found in the boutique. Shop Tiffany has created an exclusive line of pillows, down-filled and luxurious, with some of the staff’s favorite quips. “How candid can I be with you?” playfully printed on the linen pillow is an endearing question posed by one of Tiffany’s repeat clients.

When asked about what inspires her creativity, Tiffany said she does not need to travel far: she finds it everywhere. Each client and project provides inspiration, along with her design team. Tiffany shared some wise words that local business owner, Eric Fisher, once told her, “You have to be creative and find it within yourself to inspire others.” Shop Tiffany invites you to visit for your own dose of inspiration. Shop in person during the weekdays, or anytime online. With the change in seasons and the holidays quickly approaching, Shop Tiffany is a destination for unique gifts and one-of-a-kind collectibles for the home.
