Summer and Song With One Fantastic Lineup

Written by Julie Underwood Burton

Join the fun and spend time with your friends, family — and even your dog — listening to great music this summer on the patios at Bradley Fair. The Bradley Fair Concert Series starts this month and is the perfect place for music lovers of all ages to gather outside on a nice summer eve.

For 26 years, Wichitans have enjoyed this popular, family-friendly concert series which historically attracts over a thousand concertgoers each week. Concerts are held on Thursday evenings for four consecutive weeks beginning June 11 and offer an impressive mix of talent and style.

“We’re thrilled to bring back the Summer Concert Series with a lineup that truly reflects Wichita: local talent, regional favorites and sounds that span generations,” said Jessica Branning, general manager of Bradley Fair. “And this year, we are excited to offer a VIP experience for guests who want to take the night up a notch. Year after year, this event brings the community together in a way that’s really special, and we’re looking forward to welcoming both familiar and new faces to the plaza this summer.”

Activities, Giveaways and Food Trucks

Each week, pre-show activities kick-off at 6 p.m. for kids and families, with special character appearances, face painting, games and prizes. Concerts begin at 7:30 p.m. and concert goers can expect some great merchant giveaways during concert intermissions. Attendees should plan to bring their own lawn chairs for seating and refreshments to enjoy. Food trucks will be available on-site for food and non-alcoholic drinks, and many of the Bradley Fair restaurants will be open for to-go orders. Alcoholic beverages can be purchased at the portable bar located outside Newport Grill, which is adjacent to the concert stage. Restaurant manager, Noah Ranovish, says it is an “insanely fun evening not to be missed” and his Newport Grill tables have been reserved to capacity months in advance.

New VIP Area

New to the Bradley Fair concert scene this year is the special VIP area where individuals can sign up in advance to get a front row chair reserved in an exclusive VIP premiere viewing area, plus receive exclusive event perks, compliments of Bradley Fair tenants. The VIP experience costs $20 each. To register as a VIP, go to Bradley Fair’s website at bradleyfair.com/events. All attendees are asked to go to the website to RSVP through Eventbrite, but an RSVP is not required to attend. Admission is free for the general public.

Mark your calendars for each of these four nights of unforgettable evenings filled with incredible songs, food, drink and giveaways, and be sure to invite your family and friends. Pups on leashes are welcome too. Don’t forget your lawn chairs!
